Teddy Bear Recital
Saturday, December 17th at 2pm

(The recital tends to run about an hour long or a little less)
Tickets: In lieu of purchasing a ticket, please bring a new stuffed animal (any size) per person who is attending (lap children do not need a ticket/stuffed animal). The stuffed animal will be your ticket into the show, and we will donate the stuffed animals to a local hospital for children in need. There will be students holding large bags for you to drop your stuffed animal into on your way into the auditorium. We tie all the bags, and transport them to the local Beacon Children’s Hospital.
Monetary Donations: Our hope with the Teddy Bear Concert is to focus on the community and give back. We do, however, still have to rent the facility we use. We will have a “love offering” at the end of the event if you would like to donate to help cover the costs of our rental fee. We will have students by the auditorium exit with a Santa hat collecting donations.

Please DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING BEFORE ARRIVAL TIME! DOORS WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL 1:15PM FOR MONDAY CLASSES.
IF YOUR STUDENT IS IN MULTIPLE DANCES, PLEASE LOOK AT THE RECITAL ORDER AND MAKE SURE THEY ARRIVE IN THEIR FIRST COSTUME!

Students need to arrive in COSTUME and be completely ready. We ask that younger dancers put on their shoes before entering the dressing room, so items do not get lost. Parents can hold onto their street shoes.
Check In:
We ask that 1 parent or adult bring their student to the dressing rooms. You will enter through the main doors, and go to the back hallway on the right. There are 3 dressing rooms with different students assigned to each room. The first dressing room (from right to left) is Barn where Ms. Malory’s toddler class and 3-5 year old ballet will be. The middle room is Arctic Blast for the Sparklers, Hip Hop Acro, and Lyrical 6-9 yrs. The furthest room is the Lighthouse, all the way down the back hallway in the left corner and it is for competitors and older recreational students. Students who are 12+ may check in/out without a parent but still have to stop at the counter to notify staff.

LIGHTHOUSE: ALL COMPETITORS, TEEN LYRICAL/JAZZ, POINTE
ARCTIC BLAST: SPARKLERS, HIP HOP/ACRO 1, 6-9 LYRICAL
BARN: MS. MALORY’S CLASSES (TWIRLING 2’S & 3’S, 3-5 YR BALLET)
Check Out:
After the show is over, 1 parent will walk to their students' dressing room and pick them up and all of their belongings. Families can take photos in the lobby after they get their student.
Makeup: Students can wear as much or as little makeup as they want for this event, it is a short 45 minute recital. Light makeup can include blush, brown/gold eyeshadow, mascara, and red lipstick (or even just blush and lipstick - most students love these). Rubies, Sapphires, Diamonds, Lyrical Gems, and Pointe dancers can wear full makeup, but false eyelashes are not mandatory for this event.
Hair Details: We have 2 different BUN hairstyles for this recital but all have the same type of bun (we have to take hats and students in multiple classes into consideration). Please see your student’s specific class below for hair details. Some students have a high bun with hair pulled straight back, and other students have a low bun with a center part.

COSTUME DETAILS!
MONDAY CLASSES:
CRYSTALS: Green dress, pink tights, ballet slippers, high bun.
PEARLS: “Chill” pajamas, nude or black leotard under with tan tights, jazz shoes, hair in pig tails (either high pig tails or low braid).
LYRICAL JEWELS: White spaghetti strap leotard (student must provide), lyrical white overlay (studio provide upon check in), tan tights, lyrical shoes, low bun.
RUBIES: Black leggings, crew neck sweatshirt, jazz shoes, low bun.
SAPPHIRES: White leotard (student must provide), blue tutu, tan tights, jazz shoes, low bun.
LYRICAL GEMS: Opening # blue costume, tan tights, lyrical shoes, low bun.
DIAMONDS: Red sequin tank top, black leggings, black or tan jazz shoes, low bun.
THURSDAY CLASSES:
TWIRLING 2’s & 3’s (4:30pm): Minnie Mouse costume, headband, light white tights, ballet shoes, high bun (costume might not be there today, but parents can pick up costume on Monday or wait until next Thursday).
SPARKLERS: Girls Yellow sequin costume, tan tights, ballet slippers, high bun. Boys Olaf Costume, tap shoes.
HIP HOP TIKTOK: Cream lyrical dress (from last year), tan tights, lyrical slippers, low bun.
HIP HOP/ACRO 1: Girls Blue tshirt, black leggings, black sneaker, high bun. Boys Blue tshirt, black shorts or sweatpants, black sneakers.
BALLET 3-5 YRS: Anna leotard dress, pink tights, ballet slippers, high bun.
LYRICAL/BALLET 6-9 YRS: White leotard dress, tan tights, ballet slippers, high bun. Students should wear a nude or white leotard under costume (student must provide) as costume might appear sheer under stage lights. We recommend a spaghetti strap leotard, there are a lot of options on Amazon. If you need assistance ordering, please contact our Staff.
TEEN LYRICAL/JAZZ: We will be trying on a romper in class, however, if it is not a good fit, students will need to provide their own black leggings and black spaghetti strap leotard and we will provide a flowy shirt. We will keep you updated! Jazz shoes, low bun.
ADVANCED BALLET: Black costume, pink tights, ballet shoes, low bun.
POINTE: Black leotard, maroon skirt, pink tights, pointe or soft shoe, low bun.
