Picture Week Information:
Students will have their individual and group photos taken during Picture Week at the Studio! Students should arrive in their costume and performance ready (if you are on a competition team, your ballet picture will be first & additional costumes may be taken upstairs). Parents are not permitted in the dance room during pictures, but may stay in the lobby to help with costume changes (for younger students). Pictures are during regular class times on the following dates:
Monday Classes - June 3rd
Tuesday Classes - May 28th
Wednesday Classes - May 29th
Thursday Classes - May 30th
Dress Rehearsal Information:
When you arrive at Dress Rehearsal, please check in at the lobby and view the class seating chart to know what area your student should sit in. Doors will open for check-in at 5pm. Students should be in their first costume. There are no dressing rooms for dress rehearsal, so if your student has a change, please have their costumes set up and ready for them in a designated area (usually the back of the auditorium). Parents should be available to help their students change.
ALL Too Cute, Pre-Ballet, & Pre-Tap Classes will be on stage at 5:30PM SHARP, to have extra practice being on stage. Please check-in early so dancers can be ready and on stage at 5:30PM. *We will call them to the stage at this time by class*
ALL CLASSES (in costume, it does not matter what costume you are in for this) will begin to practice BOWS at 6 PM SHARP or earlier, and then start the complete run through of the show.
Your dancer is permitted to leave after running their last dance, but is welcome and encouraged to stay and watch. The order of dances will be sent out in an e-mail, and passed out at Dress Rehearsal. (Please double check the order and be sure this is their last dance).
The recital starts at 3pm with a 2pm check-in time, students arrive in their FIRST costume. The Lerner Theatre has a very specific check-in process, and we will share details when we receive them.
Students in Two Cute, Pre-Ballet, or Pre-Tap should check in between 2:15pm and 2:30pm. If they have older siblings they are welcome to check in with them at 2pm.
Students can pack water, dry snacks (like pretzels), coloring books, or other activities to keep them busy while they're not on stage!
We are still in need of volunteers for the recital! Parents who volunteer still get to see their student perform from backstage. Any parent who volunteers will get their 2019-2020 dance registration waived!
If a student is upset or scared to go on stage, we will not force them to go. Please know that we have excellent caretakers backstage but young students can get stage fright right before they go on stage.
